The relatives of the suspect, Sayid Ali Maallin Daoud, who is believed to have burned his wife Luul Abdizais, today held a press conference in Mogadishu to complain about what is going on in the social media and politicians who are using this case wrongly.
The relatives said that they are particularly complaining about the way the Banadir Regional Court approached this case, and they said that they were denied participation in the trial, and they were not satisfied with the witnesses who were brought before the Court.
We now feel that we have been brought unfair people as a witness or do not deserve that witness,” said Nabadon Abdi Mohamud, one of the relatives.
An other similar press conference was also held yesterday in Adado City by the same elders from the Saleban community who similarly complained that the court is willing to force the boy’s relatives outside so that they do not hear the case and this is an insult to justice and court reputation.
The statement from the relatives of the accused Sayid Ali Macalin Daoud is coming, while the Banadir Regional Court is waiting for the final decision to announce the charges against Sayid Ali.
